Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Functional Analyst IV to join the software development team supporting a large, multi-year contract for the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The candidate will be part of an agile team, configuring PeopleSoft application modules to meet project objectives. The role requires collaboration, problem-solving, and effective communication within and across teams.

Responsibilities

1. Configure modules in PeopleSoft software to meet design specifications and leverage delivered functionality.
2. Provide estimates for work assignments.
3. Document software configurations using prescribed tools.
4. Use development tools such as Azure DevOps, SQL Developer, and App Designer proficiently.
5. Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into functional software designs.
6. Support testing activities following quality engineering processes.
7. Develop and enhance applications, address system defects.
8. Conduct peer reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment.
9. Use SQL for data lookup, testing, and documentation support.
10. Translate business needs into system solutions, including mockups and graphics.
11. Demonstrate software functionality to team and customers.
12. Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of experience in federal government, DoD, Army, IC, or private sector. ERP experience (PeopleSoft, Workday) is a plus.
• Knowledge of PS HCM preferred; experience with PS Global Payroll, Time and Labor, Financials is a plus.
• SAFe for Teams certification preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Current Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Work location: Arlington, VA (2 days/week), occasional travel up to 10%.
• Physical requirements include repetitive motions, communication in emergencies, and prolonged sitting at a desk.
