Lentech, Inc. is seeking a Functional Analyst (Configuration Lead) to drive the configuration-first build of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Management System for a CMS supporting legal services to children in a U.S.

Government project. You will translate complex legal, operational, and contractual requirements into functional components, configure core data models, forms, and workflows, establish security and access controls, and deliver tested artifacts for UAT and transition to steady-state

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in functional requirements gathering and application implementation.
• Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant certifications required.
• Extensive experience configuring Dataverse, model-driven apps, and Power Platform business rules.

Responsibilities

• System configuration: lead the setup of core data models, forms, and views to capture data elements and metrics.
• Deadline Engine Implementation: configure and test governed deadline and service-level engines, including business days and calendar days.
• Automation Build: document starting inventory of automations with standardized failure handling and audit events.
• Operational Workflows: configure end-to-end workflows including intake, consultations, representation, and network management.
• Invoicing and Evidence Controls: set up invoice-readiness controls ensuring evidence validation before readiness.
• Security and Access: configure role-based access, field security, and organization isolation.
• Traceability Compliance: ensure all configuration items trace back to the RTM.

Job description

Lentech is seeking a high-Performance, multi-disciplinary team to lead a technical implementation of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform-based case management system (CMS). This mission-critical project and CMS supports legal services to children in support of the U.S. Government. U.S. Citizenship is required along with the ability to positively pass a public trust background investigation.

The primary implementation timeline occurs across the first 180 days of the project and moves into steady state operations for the remainder of the first year. A five-year follow-on contract is expected based on positive performance in the first year. The implementation follows an aggressive timeline divided into four key phases: Mobilization, Core Operations, Fully Functional Delivery, and Steady-state Operations.

This effort demands a collaborative team capable of maintaining operational continuity throughout the transition and into operations. You will be working with a primary legal team providing the CMS to the lawyers working each individual case. Candidates must be prepared to handle high-velocity delivery, strict data privilege boundaries, and the technical rigor required to support vulnerable populations.

Role Overview: The Functional Analyst (Configuration Lead) is a core delivery role responsible for the "configuration-first" build of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Management System. This role translates complex legal, operational, and contractual requirements into functional system components, ensuring that the solution remains supportable and avoids unnecessary custom code. The Functional Consultant is a key driver for both the Core and Full Functional Release of the CMS.

Core Responsibilities:

• System Configuration: Lead the setup of core data models, operational forms, and views to capture all required data elements and metrics.
• Deadline Engine Implementation: Configure and test the governed deadline and service-level engine to monitor all contract clocks, including business days, calendar days, and dual clocks.
• Automation Build: Build and document the starting inventory of all automations, ensuring they include standardized failure handling, exceptions, and audit events.
• Operational Workflows: Configure end-to-end workflows including intake, consultations, direct representation, and network management.
• Invoicing and Evidence Controls: Set up invoice-readiness controls ensuring service stages are not marked ready until required evidence is validated.
• Security and Access: Configure role-scoped access, field security, and organization isolation to maintain the necessary privilege boundaries.
• Traceability Compliance: Ensure every configuration item, form, and workflow traces directly back to identifiers in the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).

Technical and Functional Deliverables:

• Configuration Artifacts: Data dictionary, ERD, code sets, and business-rule catalogs.
• Workflow Specifications: Detailed documentation of triggers, actors, steps, rules, and completion criteria for every automated process.
• Testing Support: Creation of "known-answer" cases for deadline testing and participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Required Skills and Experience: 5+ years of experience in functional requirements gathering and application.

• Professional Certification: Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant certifications
• Technical Expertise: Extensive experience configuring Dataverse, model-driven apps, and Power Platform business rules.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in legal operations, case management, or high-compliance federal-adjacent implementations.
• Methodological Rigor: Experience working in a "requirements-first" environment with strict adherence to evidence-based acceptance.

Project Context: The Functional Consultant must maintain high velocity to meet the transition-in deadline. This role is essential for ensuring the operational readiness of the solution. Success is measured by the delivery of configured capabilities that pass all test areas defined by requirements.
