Job summary

Ourisman Chrysler Jeep & Dodge of Alexandria is seeking a skilled Auto Technician to perform repairs and diagnostics in a busy service department. You will test components, diagnose issues, and communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of needed work and timelines.

The role requires at least 2 years of experience, a high school diploma, and a strong customer-service mindset; ASE preferred. We offer a stable, team-based environment with benefits after 90 days and paid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Fast, eager learner and team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs--Xtime Inspect experience helpful.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Acceptable driving record & valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer's policies.
• Test drive vehicles, test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
