Job summary

Medal is seeking a leader to own our desktop/web platform end-to-end from recording and validation to payouts. You’ll work across C#/.NET, Java/Spring Boot, Next.js, and TypeScript to ship secure, scalable components at NYC HQ.

You’ll harden the stack with mTLS, OIDC, and encrypted tokens while shaping pricing experiments and compliance tooling. A strong focus on performance, security, and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building end-to-end game recording and anti-cheat systems.
• Ownership of high-visibility platform and performance optimization.
• Strong backend/frontend integration experience.
• Experience with payments and payouts systems is a plus.
• Cloud deployment and infrastructure as code experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with C#/.NET game recorder via WebSocket JSON-RPC and debug Electron boundaries.
• Build server-side anti-cheat and fraud detection to deter manipulation.
• Own earnings/payouts in Java/Spring Boot with Postgres and auditable ledger.
• Develop admin tools in Next.js (TypeScript/React) for users, sessions, payments.
• Harden stack: mTLS, OIDC Pub/Sub webhooks, encrypted tokens, Terraform, GCP.
• Run marketplace mechanics for pricing/config experiments to improve data volume.
• Develop legal/compliance tooling: ToS versioning, geofencing, GDPR workflows.
