Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Software Engineer II, Fullstack for the Ads Platform. This remote-first role supports a US-wide team, with base pay guidance aligned to California market ranges. You will design, build and ship web applications, APIs, and collaborate across product, design and analytics to deliver impactful features.

You’ll break work into phases, participate in code reviews, and own growth through feedback and on-call duties in a fast-moving, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to write clear, well-tested and extensible code.
• Comfort navigating large code bases and performing code reviews.
• Proactive about growth and seeking feedback from team and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication for global collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Break down larger projects into tasks and deliver in phases with timely collaboration.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics on ideation and decisions considering risks and trade-offs.
• Support operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics and on-call efforts.
• Contribute to team community through growth activities and interview participation.
