Affirm, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to help build and scale web, mobile, and API products. You will work with product, design and analytics to break down work, scope constraints, and deliver high-quality software.

The role emphasizes ownership, code quality, testing, and collaboration in a remote-first environment. You’ll contribute to a team that ships web apps with React/Vue, mobile apps with React Native, and APIs with Kotlin or Python.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps using React Native.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python.
• Able to write clear, well-tested, extensible code and take ownership of tasks.
• Comfortable navigating a large code base and providing feedback via code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration with a global team.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases with timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics in ideation and decisions.
• Create and monitor metrics, escalate when needed, and support on-call efforts.
• Contribute to team growth by participating in interview processes.
