Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to own the agent platform end-to-end. You’ll work on the React frontend and the backend services that orchestrate agents, data, and integrations, supporting hundreds of internal users and dozens of enterprise clients.

This role emphasizes engineering craft and product impact, delivering scalable, reliable systems and intuitive interfaces that enable teams to move quickly and demo effectively.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fullstack engineering experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (React + Next.js) and frontend architecture, state management, and design patterns.
• Backend experience in Python and/or Node.js — relational databases, REST APIs, and async task infrastructure.
• Strong design sense and usability focus.
• Experience with high-throughput systems.
• Ownership mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Strong communication of tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own the agent platform across the full stack, from React interfaces to backend APIs and services.
• Enable internal users and enterprise clients with reliable, polished features.
• Build foundational layer for new agent use cases and configurations.
• Ship high-leverage features to boost internal productivity and customer-facing quality.
• Collaborate with Applied AI researchers, product, design, and operations to translate requirements into technical solutions.
