Mercor is seeking an experienced engineer to help grow our AI data platform. You will work across backend and infrastructure, partnering with researchers and enterprise clients to push frontier model quality and research-driven rewards systems.

The role requires strong ownership, ability to navigate ambiguity, and a passion for building in-person collaboration at our NYC office. You will contribute hands-on while guiding a small, high-impact team.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years in engineering.
• Strong background in building scalable systems.
• Comfort with core ML/LLM concepts and evaluation metrics.
• Ability to lead in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Proven ability to coach engineers and drive execution.
