Tech Talent South in Dallas is seeking a Code Immersion Instructor responsible for leading course instruction in web development. The role involves mentorship during class and office hours, along with preparing materials for students.

This position accommodates both full-time and part-time instructors. Full-time hours are Monday-Thursday from 8 am-12:30 pm, while part-time is Monday and Wednesday from 5 pm-9 pm.

Applicants should be passionate about teaching, especially in Ruby on Rails and other web technologies.

Code Immersion Instructor: As an Instructor, you are responsible for the student experience in and out of the classroom. These responsibilities specifically lie in the realm of instruction as it pertains to the curriculum set forth by Tech Talent South.

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction of course material in specified class hours (curriculum provided)
• Attend and mentor students during office hours.
• Be available to mentor students outside of class and office hours.
• Prepare and create materials, coursework, and homework for students.
• Lead workshops in tandem with community organizers.
• Actively participate and contribute to weekly team calls.
• Teach in a rewarding atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Skills and experience in full‑stack web development, especially in Ruby on Rails, HTML/CSS, front‑end frameworks, SQL, APIs/REST, Git and GitHub, and deployment.
• Strong communication skills and social aptitude to teach beginners.
• Passion and understanding of teaching code, dedication, persistence, patience, attention to detail, and enthusiasm.
• A good and inviting attitude.

Additional Information

Looking for instructors for our full‑time and part‑time session (can be two different instructors).

• Full time: Monday‑Thursday, 8 am‑12:30 pm
• Part time: Monday and Wednesday, 5 pm‑9 pm
• Location: The DEC
