Job Description

Code Immersion Instructor: Responsible for the student experience in and out of the classroom. Duties include instruction and curriculum facilitation as set by Tech Talent South.

• Lead instruction of course material in specified class hours.
• Attend and mentor students during office hours.
• Be available to mentor students outside of class and office hours.
• Prepare and create materials, coursework, and homework for students.
• Lead workshops in tandem with community organizers.
• Actively participate and contribute to weekly team calls.
• Teach in a rewarding atmosphere.
• Take on occasional side projects that may or may not be exclusive to your campus.

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

• Skills and experience in full-stack web development, especially Ruby on Rails, HTML/CSS, Front-End Frameworks, SQL, APIs/REST, Git & GitHub, Deployment.
• Strong communication skills and social aptitude to effectively teach beginners.
• Passion and understanding of teaching coding. Dedication, persistence, patience, attention to detail, and enthusiasm.
• Good and inviting attitude.

Additional Information

Looking for an instructor to teach an 8-week course.

Classes meet Monday-Thursday from 8am-11am.
