Job summary

IPI Technolab is seeking a Senior Software Architect to own the end-to-end architecture of scalable web applications. Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end architecture and technical design of scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.
• Design and implement modern full-stack solutions using technologies such as React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js/Java, REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices.
• Define application architecture, coding standards, design patterns, development practices, and technical guidelines.
• Lead the design of distributed, cloud-native, and event-driven systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, availability, and maintainability.
• Design and optimize databases, caching strategies, APIs, asynchronous processing, and data flows.
• Architect and manage cloud solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP, including compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring, and serverless services where appropriate.
• Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
• Ensure application security through appropriate authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and adherence to OWASP best practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, technical assessments, and performance analysis.
• Identify technical risks, scalability bottlenecks, and architectural gaps and drive appropriate solutions.
• Lead modernization and migration initiatives, including monolith-to-microservices and legacy-system transformation.
• Work closely with product managers, engineering teams, QA, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Mentor senior developers and engineers and provide technical leadership across development teams.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Proven experience designing and delivering production-grade, scalable web applications and distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in React.js/Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend architecture.
• Strong backend experience with Node.js/NestJS, Java/Spring Boot, .NET, or an equivalent enterprise backend technology.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous processing.
• Strong database knowledge across relational and NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably AWS, including cloud architecture, security, networking, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, caching, messaging, and performance optimization.
• Good understanding of application and cloud security, including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, RBAC, encryption, secrets management, and OWASP principles.
• Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or equivalent.
• Experience implementing observability using tools and standards such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or cloud-native monitoring platforms.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including SOLID principles, design patterns, clean architecture, testing, code quality, and version control.
