Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging in Denton is seeking a compassionate X-Ray Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic radiography in a busy outpatient center. This full-time role offers a stable schedule, with Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, and no weekends or on-call, plus cross-training into CT or MRI for motivated clinicians.

You will work with radiologists and staff, maintain patient comfort and safety, ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS/EMR, and contribute to a positive patient

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures and anatomy.
• Excellent patient care and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• CPR certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Commitment to safety and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols.
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain patient history.
• Position patients for optimal images, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Educate patients about exams and answer questions to enhance the experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation in RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
• Perform daily quality control and ensure equipment safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to deliver excellent patient care.
• Pursue continuing education and maintain professional competencies.
• Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities arise.
• Support departmental workflow and other duties as needed.

Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Denton, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while providing exceptional patient care. This position also offers an excellent opportunity to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated candidates looking to expand their skills.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday-Friday

Requirements

• Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable)
• ARRT (R) certification
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols

• Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and image quality
