Job summary

Carbon Health is seeking a lead Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. You will prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging, ensure radiation safety, and prepare images for radiologist reviews.

You will support medical assistants to optimize patient flow and participate in departmental meetings. The role requires autonomous work within standard procedures, DOT certification training, and current CRT/ARRT credentials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years healthcare leadership experience.
• Current CRT certificate.
• Current CPR-BLS.
• Licensure/Certifications: ARRT or equivalent radiologic technology credentialing.
• Associate degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
• Prepare images for Radiologist interpretation.
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties to maintain patient flow.
• Attend staff and departmental meetings.
• Complete DOT certification training for Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.

About the role

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
• Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow
• Attend staff and departmental meetings
• Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
• Proposes improvements to processes and workflows
• Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
• Must be able to work 12 Hour Shifts.

Qualifications

• Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through job-related training and considerable work experience. May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience
• Current CRT certificate
• Current CPR- BLS
• Licensure/Certifications: Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency
