Job summary

Ameron Pole in Tulsa, OK is seeking a skilled welder to join our heavy manufacturing team. You will select fabrication equipment, plan layout, and weld parts using Arc, Gas-Shielded Arc, or Gas Welding processes.

Responsibilities include bolting and tack-welding for alignment, setting up equipment, repairing components, and reading engineering drawings. Safety and quality procedures must be followed; ability to pass pre-employment tests and drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years welding experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience working in heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Select fabrication equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding procedures.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using Arc, Gas-Shielded Arc, or Gas Welding equipment.
• May assemble parts by bolting.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts; may use fabrication equipment.
• Clean pole and welds as required; maintain tools and equipment.
• Adhere to state and federal law, ISO Quality Program and safety regulations.
