Job summary

Ameron Pole Products LLC in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Facility Foreman to oversee daily production operations, supervise hourly employees, and own the output of the team while maintaining safety, quality and productivity standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of material handling, welding processes, blueprints, and layout interpretation, plus the ability to set schedules and coach staff on fit-up and welding.

Qualifications

  • No less than 2 years of leadership experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility, flux and metal core welding preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts.
  • Strong dependability, maturity and leadership characteristics.
  • Must be able to work 5am-5:30pm Friday through Sunday.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Forklift experience ranging from small to large equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure employees follow safety procedures, participate in safety committees and audits.
  • Manage daily production operations for assigned work group.
  • Set production schedules based on introduction, equipment efficiency and quality metrics.
  • Coach employees on fit-up and welding processes and resolve issues.
  • Ensure production of quality products at or below budgeted costs.
  • Assist in continuous improvement to improve material movement through processes.
  • Manage hourly employees, approve time sheets and logs.
  • Assign employees to workstations and ensure training completion.
  • Oversee fit-up and welding processes for the teams and bays, enforcing policies.

Job description

Ameron Pole Products LLC is searching for a Facility Foreman for our Tulsa, OK Plant. The Foreman will oversee multiple activities simultaneously and take ownership of the output from employees working on the team. The supervisor is also responsible for exhibiting a strong working knowledge of all material handling, welding, and other processes. The Foreman will manage their departments and work to achieve plant goals while maintaining a high safety, quality and productivity standard.

What You'll Do
  • Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and protocols, serve on safety committees, and complete regular safety audits
  • Manage daily production operations of heavy industrial products for assigned work group
  • Set production schedules based on production introduction, equipment efficiency, and quality metrics
  • Coach employees on work quality and quantity such as fit-up and welding processes, ensuring goals are met and solving issues as they arise and are identified
  • Ensure the production of sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production cost
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities to improve the movement of materials through various production processes
  • Manage hourly employees, monitor and approve time sheets and work logs
  • Assign employees to workstations and ensure proper training is completed
  • Manage all aspects of fit up and welding processes for assigned work groups and production bays, ensuring that production policies and procedures are strictly adhered to by all employees
What You'll Need
  • No less than 2 years of successful leadership experience demonstrated in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility, specifically with flux and metal core welding is highly preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts
  • The high degree of dependability, maturity, and strong leadership characteristics as demonstrated through previous professional work experience
  • Must be able to work 5am-530pm Friday through Sunday. Regular and predictable attendance, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
  • Range of small to large forklift experience
