Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate I in Stone Mountain, GA to assist in secure inventory storage, handle shipping/receiving, and perform counts to verify accuracy.

The role requires working varied shifts including days, nights, and weekends to support operational needs. Responsibilities include preparing goods for shipment, maintaining inventory, processing stock requests, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include being 18 years of age.
• Ability to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years experience with High School Diploma/GED.
• Forklift certification is preferred and OSHA knowledge is a plus.
• Must be able to lift/move appliances up to 100 pounds and wear required safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Prepare goods and materials to be shipped with packing slips; perform basic inventory maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures (e.g. dock doors locked, wheel chocks used).
• Process stock requests, orders and returns in inventory systems.
• Handle defective, discontinued or recalled goods; destroy returns as appropriate.
• Perform check-ins/check-outs; verify order completeness and inspect for damage.
• Review daily processing of goods received as returns and processing of returns to vendors.
• Receive, issue and store supplies; inspect and count for accuracy and condition.
