Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Stone Mountain, GA is seeking a Warehouse Associate I to support inventory control and shipping/receiving activities.

You will assist with secure storage, perform checks, and count assets across diverse shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. Under close supervision, you will handle packing, scanning, and routine maintenance of inventory systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age and able to work outdoors, across multiple shifts including nights/weekends
• Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move up to 100 pounds) and wear safety gear

Responsibilities

• Prepare goods for shipment with packing slips and perform basic inventory maintenance
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures (dock doors, wheel chocks)
• Process material stock requests, orders and returns in inventory/billing systems
• Handle defective, recalled or returned goods; destroy as appropriate
• Check-ins/outs; verify order completeness and inspect for damage
• Review daily processing of goods received as returns and vendor returns
• Receive, issue and store supplies and equipment; inspect, count and verify accuracy
