Job summary

Old North Academy in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Virtual Classroom Instructional Facilitator to support live instruction delivered by a remote teacher. The facilitator helps maintain an orderly, engaging classroom, monitors participation, reinforces teacher directives, and provides targeted in-class support.

The role partners with the remote teacher, manages materials and technology, notes attendance and progress, and communicates student needs to staff.

Qualifications

• Operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications.
• Basic math, data interpretation, and document composition.
• Ability to schedule activities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the virtual teacher to review lesson objectives, materials, and assignments.
• Facilitates student engagement during virtual instruction and checks for understanding.
• Provides teacher-directed support for individual and small-group work.
• Maintains classroom routines, attendance, transitions, materials, and setup.
• Monitors student behavior and communicates progress to the virtual teacher.
