Job summary

The Humane Society of Summit County is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to support our Shelter and MABEL (mobile veterinary unit) teams in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and laboratory testing. This role provides patient nursing care, assists veterinarians, conducts behavior assessments, and delivers client education while upholding compassionate care for animals and a positive team environment.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology and an Ohio Veterinary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology is required.
• Ohio Veterinary Technician license is required.
• At least 1 year of related field experience is preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with insurable driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Shelter and MABEL Veterinarian and staff in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and laboratory testing.
• Provide patient nursing care and monitor anesthesia-related procedures.
• Conduct behavior assessments and provide client education.
