Job summary

The Humane Society of Summit County is accepting applications for part-time and full-time Veterinary Assistant positions. This role supports the Shelter and MABEL unit with a range of duties including surgeries, medical care, blood draws, vaccinations, and daily medications under the veterinarian's direction.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of related work experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and be 18+. Euthanasia certification training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a related field.
• Euthanasia certification (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgeries and medical clean-up.
• Administer daily medications and support the veterinary team.
• Perform blood draws, vaccinations, fecal and urinalysis.
• Assist with euthanasia and other tasks under supervision.
