Altitude Animal Hospital in Highlands Ranch, Colorado is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care. This is a full-time role with a 5/8 schedule, Monday-Saturday availability, and Saturday morning shifts.

Compensation ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, 401k with company match, and paid

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant
• Proficiency in client communication and education
• Able to assist with exams, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures
• Experience with surgery set-up and assisting
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
• Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
• Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
• Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
