Responsibilities

• Obtaining accurate patient history
• Assisting the doctor on duty during the physical exam
• Aiding in animal restraint
• Educating clients on basic pet care
• Running lab tests as directed by doctor on duty
• Helping perform radiographs
• Invoicing patient procedures and appointments
• Filling/ re-filling patient prescriptions as directed by doctor on duty
• Cleaning exam rooms following every exam
• Maintaining steady laundry flow
• Maintaining a clean pharmacy area
• Presenting treatment plans to clients (estimates)
• Checking in and putting away inventory orders

Job description

This is an immediate opening for a FULL-TIME position as a veterinary assistant.

Working hours are:

• Monday 8am-6pm
• Tuesday 8am-6pm
• Wednesday 8am-2pm
• Thursday 10am-8pm
• Friday 8am-6pm
• Saturday 8am-1pm (every other Sat)
• Sunday CLOSED

Hours can range between 30-40hrs/wk. You will have at least 1 off day during the week.

We do require a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month.

We are searching for a long-term reliable/dependable applicant only. Please do not apply if this schedule is not going to work for you.

Veterinary Assistants are a key team member in day-to-day operations of the clinic.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a flexible schedule, preferably have veterinary experience, and will have a minimum of a high school diploma.
