Job summary

The Budd Group in Nashville, TN is seeking a dependable Utility Tech to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at our Northwood retail location.

This full-time role requires standing for the shift, lifting up to 35 lbs, and working Wednesday to Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

You will perform general cleaning, empty trash, dust fixtures, sanitize restrooms, and ensure a safe, welcoming store environment. Benefit eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional janitorial or custodial experience.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs repetitively.
• Must stand, walk, bend, reach and perform 8-hour shift duties.
• Passing drug screening and background check required.
• Punctual with reliable attendance for Wed–Sun 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning across retail areas, restrooms, and employee spaces.
• Collect, empty, and transport trash and recycling to disposal areas.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, window sills, and display counters.
• Sanitize and restock customer and staff restrooms.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and assist with other cleaning tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties across retail areas, restrooms, and employee spaces.
• Collect, empty, and transport trash and recycling to disposal areas.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, window sills, and display counters.
• Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock customer and staff restrooms.
• Vacuum carpeted areas, sweep, and mop hard floors.
• Complete additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements & Physical Demands

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional janitorial or custodial experience required.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs repetitively throughout the shift.
• Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical labor for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
• Punctuality: Strong work ethic with reliable attendance for the scheduled 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM shift (Wed–Sun).
• Background: Successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
