Job summary

JLL is seeking a facilities cleaner to maintain a clean, safe environment at our La Vergne, TN locations. You will clean offices and common areas, empty trash, service restrooms, and help with basic maintenance to support daily operations.

Your role includes floor care, light maintenance tasks, and adhering to safety procedures. The position may require standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working the described morning shifts.

Job description

Responsible for cleaning of facilities and keeping areas neat and tidy by removing debris. Collecting, sorting, and processing materials into recycling commodities as needed.

Key Elements and Essential Tasks:

• Responsibility for cleaning and sanitation of facility areas.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Gather, sort and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Experience in striping, sealing, finishing, and polishing floors preferred but not required.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Perform light building maintenance for the facilities as needed.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Education/training - High school diploma or equivalent
• Skills and knowledge - Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate basic instructions

Physical work requirements and work conditions:

• Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects that may be 25+ pounds.
• Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
• Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Ability to see and hear details in order to identify and diagnose problems.
• Perform overhead work often while balanced standing on a ladder.

1st shift 6AM-2:30PM and 7AM-3:30PM available Monday - Friday with voluntary overtime options throughout the week and weekends
