Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for a full-time unarmed patrol role in Norfolk, VA. You will safeguard the site, perform routine and random patrols, verify credentials, and respond to incidents with professionalism and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors during patrols and respond to incidents.
• Respond to alarms and incidents calmly and notify site contacts or emergency services.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking, and perimeters.
• Verify credentials at access points and document visitor activity.
• Prepare reports of patrols, incidents, and security activities for leadership.
