Allied Universal in Whittier, CA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Assistant to monitor and safeguard retail locations. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and report observations with integrity across a visible patrol presence.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store staff by following security procedures and reporting observations.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of retail areas, stockrooms, and entrances to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting concerns per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and contact appropriate personnel.
• Document observations and patrol activities and communicate with site management and leadership.
