Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by observing surroundings, reporting unusual conditions, and documenting incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and communication with site contacts and first responders as needed.
