Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a full-time Security Officer Unarmed. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain access control, and deliver outstanding customer service while deterring security incidents. This role supports a range of industries and offers stability, teamwork, and opportunities for growth.

Schedule: Wed 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Thu 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, Fri 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Sat 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Sun 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. Pay rate: $17.51/hour.

Qualifications

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background check and drug screen required by law.
Licensing may be required depending on state/local laws.
Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused facilities, offices, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific protocols, maintaining accurate reports and logs.
Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders while supporting a professional environment.
