Job summary

Evolving Solution Services is seeking a Youth Care Worker in Salem, VA to provide direct guidance and supervision of the youth under care. The role supports development of healthy habits, manages behavior, and assists with service plan goals, all while maintaining professional boundaries with clients and co-workers.

The position requires strong communication, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services is strongly preferred.
• Experience working directly with children is required for some diplomas.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of youth and monitor whereabouts; perform wellness checks.
• Plan activities meeting physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
• Model appropriate behavior and maintain professional boundaries with youth and staff.
• Follow medication policies including MAR documentation and healthcare coordination.
• Build supportive relationships with youth and model trauma-informed care.
• Engage in supervision meetings and team treatment planning as needed.
