Job summary

Waypoint Services for Women Children and Families is hiring an Assistant Teacher for the KidsPoint Downtown location in Cedar Rapids, IA. This full-time role supports the Lead Teacher, engages toddlers 18-24 months, and helps create a safe, fun learning environment. Starting pay is $15/hour with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 10:30am–5:45pm shift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1 year of childcare experience required.
• CPR/First Aid and Mandatory Reporter trainings completed or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher and help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and learning experiences that keep kids engaged.
• Assist in planning and implementing curriculum and daily activities.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom and assist with routines.
