Job summary

The Sapling School in Fair Lawn, NJ is seeking a Full Time Assistant Teacher for our 2s classroom to support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, educational environment for our youngest learners. This full-time role runs 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM in Fair Lawn, NJ.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities for 2-year-olds, supporting social, emotional, and developmental needs, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Experience with toddlers or in early childhood settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for young children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Reliable and punctual with the 9:30 AM–6:00 PM schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily activities and lessons for 2-year-olds.
• Support each child's social, emotional, and developmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and staff about progress and daily activities.
• Participate in planning and preparing educational materials and classroom setup.
