Job summary

Little Stages in New Jersey is seeking an Infant - Toddler Teacher to join our caring early childhood team. The position is offered as full-time or part-time, with a focus on creating a safe, nurturing learning environment and implementing age-appropriate activities.

You will partner with families, follow HighScope-aligned plans, support social-emotional growth, and maintain professional standards while meeting daily care needs and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the classroom.
• Create age-appropriate lessons aligned with High scope Curriculum.
• Support social and emotional development & provide positive guidance.
• Establish positive & productive relationship with families & staff.
• Ensure that children are well-cared for throughout the day.
• Maintain a commitment to professionalism at all times.
• Work with families and access the individual needs of each child.
• Be able to physically lift and possibly carry a 40lbs child (as needed).
• Be able to walk about 30 minutes around the neighboring park with children in strollers.
• Comply and abide by the program and state/local officials' policies.
