The Mental Health Association is seeking a part-time Family Support Worker for the Intensive Family Support Services (IFSS) program based in our Newton office. The role supports families with an adult member living with mental illness and offers counseling, groups, and education.
Responsibilities include intake, counseling, group facilitation, and outreach to diverse families. Evening hours may be required; a driver’s license is needed. Competitive benefits apply.
Intensive Family Support Services (IFSS) provides support for individuals who have an adult family member with mental illness. Caring for someone who has a mental illness may be physically and emotionally stressful, stigmatizing, and isolating. IFSS provides supportive counseling, family support groups, psychoeducational workshops, advocacy and linkage on behalf of family members.
Hourly Base Range: $30-$34/hour
Reports to: Family Support Specialist/Coordinator
