AMG Specialty Hospital - Oklahoma City is hiring a Full Time Telemetry Monitor Technician/Unit Secretary for Day Shifts. The Telemetry Monitor Technician interprets rhythm strips every 4 hours and reports changes to the Primary Care Nurse, while maintaining meticulous charts and patient records.

Qualifications

• Highschool graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Basic EKG Monitoring Course.
• Previous experience in rhythm interpretation; Telemetry Technician preferred.
• Knowledge of monitoring equipment.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Interprets cardiac rhythm strips and documents changes every 4 hours.
• Reports rhythm changes to the Primary Care Nurse and updates patient records.
• Operates monitors, speaker, and phone systems; communicates effectively.
• Tracks monitored patients and maintains labeled rhythm strips and charts.
• Prepares records for Medical-Surgical Unit and participates in performance improvement.
• Supports nursing staff and follows hospital policies and procedures.
