AMG Specialty Hospital- Albuquerque seeks a Full Time Telemetry Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary for day shifts. The role involves interpreting cardiac rhythms, monitoring equipment operation, and documenting patient data while coordinating with nursing staff to ensure accurate reports and timely care.

Responsibilities include maintaining rhythm strips, assisting with patient care in the medical-surgical unit, and contributing to performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Successful completion of Basic EKG Monitoring Course is required.
• Previous rhythm interpretation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of monitoring equipment is essential.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Additional languages are desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Interpret cardiac rhythm strips every 4 hours and report changes to the Primary Care Nurse.
• Operate monitor system, speaker, and phone systems.
• Maintain and file rhythm strips and patient charts.
• Provide indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting and assist staff as needed.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and adhere to hospital policies.
