Job summary

LearnWell in Newark, DE is seeking a passionate and creative teacher for our on-site program in a behavioral health facility. This full-time role supports adolescent students in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment, with a potential summer option.

You will plan and deliver daily lessons, provide individualized assistance, and track student progress while maintaining attendance and session reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited institution.
• Delaware teaching license.
• Comfortable working with K-12th grade students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and creative teacher for our Newark, DE location on a full‑time basis for the school year, with a potential summer option. The role involves working in a fast‑paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent school‑age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. You will also monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Class sizes range from 12 to 15 school‑age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 40‑hour a week commitment, Monday‑Friday.
