Shift: Night Shift 12-36

Minimum: $19.36 USD

Maximum: $28.74 USD (rate for experienced individuals)

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high–quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff. On the Medical Care Unit, the CNA performs a comprehensive range of clinical, clerical, and support functions that promote patient health, safety, and dignity. All tasks are carried out under RN supervision.

  • Support therapeutic interventions.
  • Coordinate unit activities.

Experience
  • Previous CNA experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, observational, and communication skills required.
Physical / Mental / Environmental Requirements
  • Frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and effective hand-eye coordination.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Regular exposure to body fluids and standard precautions.
  • Use of personal computers and electronic health record system.
