Job summary

QSAC seeks a dedicated Education Specialist to oversee assessments and implement behavior interventions in a supportive, client-centered environment.

You will supervise Teacher’s Assistants/Aides, ensure program documentation and IEP adherence, and coordinate with parents and professionals. This full-time role requires a Bachelor's or higher and ongoing Master's enrollment, with a focus on autism/ABA where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Child Psychology, Child Development, Elementary Education, Nursery-Grade 6 Elementary Education, Special Education (Students w/ Disabilities B-2 or 1-6), or General Education – must have at least 12 credits specific to early childhood within any of these areas
  • You must ALSO be enrolled in a Master’s program in Education or Special Education
  • 3 letters of recommendation required upon hire
  • Experience with Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred
  • Ability to run and safety awareness are required
  • Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint checks and effective communication with individuals served

Responsibilities

  • Complete required QSAC orientation.
  • Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments of educational programs and behavior interventions.
  • Supervise Teacher’s Assistants/Aides and participate in implementing educational programs.
  • Implement and adhere to IEP/Student Program.
  • Supervise and implement completion of program/student documentation.
  • Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g., CPR, etc.) as required.
  • Interact/communicate with parents, interns, professionals, and visitors.
  • Maintain participant/family confidentiality.
  • Commitment to QSAC policies and values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and senior management.
