Job summary

QSAC in Bronx, NY is seeking a full-time Education/Early Intervention staff member. The role involves implementing and supervising educational programs and behavior interventions, coordinating with staff and families, and ensuring adherence to IEPs and documentation requirements.

The position offers an hourly wage of $23.00 to $29.00, commensurate with certification, education, experience, and ABA credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education-related field.
• Enrollment in a Master’s program in Education or Special Education.
• 3 letters of recommendation required at hire.
• Experience with Autism and ABA is preferred.
• Clear Background/Fingerprint Check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete required QSAC orientation.
• Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments of educational programs and behavior interventions.
• Supervise Teachers’ Assistants/Aides and participate in program implementation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Child Psychology, Child
  Development, Elementary Education, Nursery-Grade 6 Elementary Education,
  Special Education (Students w/ Disabilities B-2 or 1-6), or General
  Education – must have at least 12 credits specific to early childhood
  within any of these areas
• You must ALSO be enrolled in a Master's program in Education or Special Education
• 3 letters of recommendation required upon hire
• Experience with Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
• Ability to run.
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items.
• Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
