QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic full-time 1:1 paraprofessionals who provide direct behavioral support to students under the general supervision of a New York State certified teacher. The role focuses on implementing proactive and reactive strategies from an individual student's behavior intervention plan as outlined by the supervising teacher.

A 1:1 paraprofessional provides behavioral support so that a student is better able to access instruction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clearance through state mandated background/fingerprint checks.
• Ability to run and lift up to 20 lb safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals served and others.

Responsabilités

• Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
• Aide classroom teacher as needed.
• Maintain student engagement and support participation in classroom activities.
• Implement strategies from Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Collect and maintain behavioral data for the assigned student.
• Maintain student safety and confidentiality.
• Complete required program documentation (e.g. Medicals, PPD, CPR).
• Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Summary

Additional job responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
• Aide classroom teacher as needed.
• Maintain student engagement and support student in participation in classroom activities.
• Implement proactive, reactive, and emergency strategies outlined in Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Collect and maintain behavioral data for assigned student.
• Maintain student safety.
• Maintain participant/family confidentiality.
• Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g. Employee Medicals, PPD, CPR, etc. as required).
• Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
• Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).
• Ability to run.

• Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
