Job summary

Orleans Central Supervisory Union Albany Community School is seeking a Long Term Sub - School Guidance Counselor to support student learning and growth. The counselor will build strong relationships with students and collaborate with our SEL team to implement a comprehensive program.

The role involves teaching class lessons, leading small groups, and delivering individual sessions, while partnering with families and staff to promote student success within a PBIS framework.

Qualifications

• A Criminal Record Check is required.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum planning and collaboration with educators to implement the school counseling program.
• Lead developmentally appropriate group activities to meet student needs and school goals.
• Assist students with academic, career and personal/social planning, including PLPs.
• Provide preventive and responsive services and support to identified student needs.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians and educators to support student planning and success.
• Coordinate programs and supports throughout the school community and monitor student activities.
