Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a donor goods processor to handle donated items in-store back rooms or warehouses. You will follow procedures for handling and processing goods and provide excellent shopper and donor service.

Responsibilities include sorting, tagging, pricing, tracking donations, moving merchandise to floors or shipping, and maintaining clean spaces. A flexible schedule is required to meet daily production goals.

• Keep floor stocked; meet daily production goals with a flexible schedule.

Job Objective

Process donated goods in the back room of a store or in the warehouse. Follow all procedures as set out by The Salvation Army in the handling and processing of these goods. Provide excellent customer service to shoppers and donors. Maintain a clean and well‑organized work and shopping experience. Handle each transaction with accuracy.

Essential Functions

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise as instructed.
• Track production numbers and report for the assigned location.
• Move priced merchandise to the floor for display, stocking, or to the designated shipping location in the warehouse.
• Assist donors with donations, complete donation receipts, collect donor information, and track donors.
• Power‑sort donations into the correct bins.
• Receive ARC Center Trucks and assist to load, unload, and move product to the correct departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Follow all Salvation Army policies regarding sale of merchandise.
• Assist in keeping the floor stocked and put new merchandise out as assigned. Work to meet the production goals for the store each day as needed. Must be available for a flexible schedule.
