Job summary

Goodwill Industries Group in Hobart, IN is seeking a Full-Time Retail Cleaning Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

You will perform daily cleaning, manage waste disposal, monitor health and safety guidelines, and coordinate with staff to schedule tasks. The role requires a High School diploma, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexible daytime availability for a reliable, customer-focused cleaning teammate.

Qualifications

High school education required or equivalent.
Experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Flexible availability.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning tasks across the facility including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Empty trash and recycling and dispose waste properly.
Ensure exterior areas like sidewalks and parking lots are clean.
Respond to spills promptly to prevent hazards.
Follow health and safety guidelines and use cleaning products properly.
Report issues such as leaks or damaged flooring to management.
Operate cleaning equipment safely and report malfunctions.
Coordinate cleaning schedules with store staff and management.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
