Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking a Store Associate to help merchandise, stock, cashier, and keep the store clean while delivering outstanding customer service. The role includes cashiering, curbside pickups, and following merchandising plans in a fast-paced retail environment.

The position offers varied benefits for full-time staff, with wage starting at $19.50/hr and scheduled increases over the years. Candidates must be 18+, have a HS diploma or equivalent preferred, and prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Perform basic arithmetic.
• Follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Work independently or in teams.
• Organize and complete tasks to maximize productivity.
• Maintain reliable attendance and meet availability requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old; HS diploma preferred; retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles. Escalates concerns to store management.
• Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Uses POS to scan and process purchases; reports scanning concerns to management.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.
• Opens additional check lanes to maintain efficient checkout.
• Stocks shelves and displays neatly per merchandising plans.
• Completes curbside pickup orders accurately and on time.
• Maintains zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Supports store management in achieving efficiency and loss goals.
• Follows safety policies and keeps equipment in good working order.
