Job Title: Store Associate

As a Store Associate, you'll be responsible for merchandising and stocking products, cashiering, and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You'll enhance the customer shopping experience by working collaboratively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
• Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00 | Year 3 - $18.50 | Year 4 - $18.50 | Year 5 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

1. Consistently demonstrating the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
2. Processing customer purchases, performing cleaning duties, stocking shelves, and merchandising displays
3. Providing exceptional customer service and assisting shoppers
4. Collaborating and communicating effectively with team members and management
5. Providing feedback on products, inventory, and store issues
6. Participating in inventory counts and monitoring inventory accuracy
7. Adhering to cash handling policies to minimize losses
8. Following company policies and maintaining confidentiality
9. Performing other assigned duties

Physical Demands

Ability to stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking about the store. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Excellent customer service skills
• Efficient operation of cash register
• Ability to operate equipment safely, including hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
• Ability to perform cleaning duties to standards
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Compliance with state and local regulations for handling alcohol, if applicable

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
