Job Title: Store Associate

As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for merchandising and stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure the store's appearance. You will enhance the customer shopping experience by working collaboratively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional service.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 4 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, perform cleaning duties, stock shelves, and display merchandise neatly
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Conduct inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Uphold company policies and ensure data security and confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and place products on shelves at various heights
• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk within the store
• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Operate cash register accurately
• Safely operate equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
• Perform cleaning to company standards
• Interpret and apply company policies
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcohol, if applicable

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Equivalent education and experience considered
