Job summary

Pro2 Construction Management is seeking a skilled carpenter for permanent, full-time on-site work in Canada. You will read blueprints, prepare layouts, measure and cut materials, and fit windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware while estimating costs and materials.

Typical hours are 35–40 per week with a 38.50 CAD hourly rate. Starting as soon as possible, the role requires 7 months to under 1 year of experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in carpentry or related work.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurements to determine work requirements.
• On-site work with no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Estimate costs and materials.
