Job summary

Trendsetter Framing Limited is seeking a skilled carpenter to join the on-site team in Chestermere, Alberta. This full-time, permanent role requires reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, assembling wood components, and coordinating site work with other trades.

3–5 years of experience and strong safety awareness are essential. The successful candidate will prepare labour and material estimates, supervise workers, install windows, doors, and roof systems, and ensure work aligns with building

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in wood framing or carpentry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret building drawings and codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
• Supervise other workers.
• Estimate costs and materials.
