Job summary

H.M.A. Framing & RenovationLTD in Canada is seeking a permanent, full-time framing carpenter. The role requires 2–3 years of experience and the ability to read plans, measure accurately, and perform layout work in accordance with building codes.

You will build foundations, install floors, walls, and roof systems, and supervise other workers on site. Work is at the physical location and cannot be done remotely.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in framing carpentry or related construction work.
• Ability to read basic plans and follow building codes.
• Physical ability to perform demanding manual labor at a construction site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Supervise other workers at the job site.
