Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a full-time, on-site Special Education Teacher for a Wood River, RI school. The SPED teacher will provide teaching and case management, conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support students with disabilities.

The position runs October 2026 through May/June 2027, with guaranteed hours and competitive compensation ($50-60+/hour). On-site, K-5, with W-2/1099 employment options.

Qualifications

• Teaching Certification, Bachelors or Masters Degree or higher in Special Education.
• State License as as SPED teacher.
• Severe Intellectual Disabilities (Severe and Profound) Certification and experience preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a school setting preferred.
• Fingerprint background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and assess IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Deliver instruction tailored to diverse learning styles and needs.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists for a holistic approach.
• Monitor progress and adapt instructional strategies to improve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
